1. Kira-kira dua minggu dulu, sebuah kereta with a loud exhaust tiba-tiba parked outside our house dekat-dekat tengah malam. A suspiciously (Indon) looking man came out of the car, started smoking and calling someone on his mobile.
2. Within 15 minutes, another man came in another car. The later joined the earlier man, squatting depan rumah my next door neighbor. Both were seen talking while pointing to several houses including mine.
3. We have never seen those men before. My zaujah switched on our spots lights and alarm (for a while) but they just stayed there. Buat de aje. I then began calling the neighbors to raise alarm. Semua tak jawab. Bet dah tidur. So I left voice messages on their mobiles.
4. Finally Z, a lawyer responded after 0.5 hour. I told him to look out. He did so and was also suspicious of the two men. I asked Z to stand-by (post a look out) so that I could approach those men.
5. I buka pintu depan dan berdiri di situ. Selepas nampak Z telah stand by, I went to the gate to cautiously approach those men. Those men kata tengah tunggu kawan dari Bukit Jelutong yang akan masuk rumah next to jiran depan rumah. I told Z about it but we both decided to keep a watch just to make sure things are OK.
6. Dekat 1 pagi, an Estima with a family came but they all stayed in the car. Tak lama selepas itu, a 1-ton lorry came and parked di driveway rumah tersebut. A Stream juga sampai. Then mereka semua sambil bercakap-cakap keluar masuk ke rumah tersebut.
7. By then jiran depan rumah terbangun dan checked his voice message. He switched on his porch lites and SMSed me “”They are moving furniture hse nxt door. Why at midnite, beats me. Anyway thnks for the message.”
8. Not until yesterday, saya tak berkesempatan berjumpa the new neighbor tersebut. I went to his house several times to undang for majlis tahlil at my house. But failed. Jiran depan rumah volunteered to sampaikan undangan on my behalf.
9. On the tahlil night, I went to his house again to convey the undangan. But no one was at home. Lepas tahlil, my next door neighbor kata ada jumpa dia sewaktu ke rumah kami. He mentioned about the undangan. But the new neighbor kata tak akan pergi “Mana proper jemput through neighbors. Kenapa tak jemput sendiri?”
10. Pelik juga. Pindah tengah malam-pagi buta tanpa notis serta membuat neighbors terjaga, risau dan tidak cukup tidur adalah manis dan proper pula? Anyway, semalam bila berkesempatan bertemunya, saya terpaksa meminta maaf kerana tidak berpeluang mengundangnya sendiri ke rumah saya.
