Melor assemblyman falls ill in Mecca
KOTA BARU: Melor assemblyman Wan Ismail Wan Jusoh, who is facing a RM3mil munta'ah (alimony) claim from his ex-wife, has fallen ill while performing the haj pilgrimage in Mecca.
Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said he was not sure what the sickness was but prayed for Wan Ismail's recovery so that he could return home as scheduled.
"I got to know about it from my officer yesterday (Tuesday). Wan Ismail is sick in Mecca and he is a bit tired and I pray for his recovery," he told reporters here Wednesday.
Nik Abdul Aziz was asked about Wan Ismail's condition as he was said to have fallen sick and was vomiting in Mecca.
Wan Ismail's former second wife, Siti Aishah Chou Abdullah, 25, from Cambodia has sought RM3mil in alimony in the interest of her welfare and that of their two children under the Kelantan Islamic Family Law Enactment 2002.
