Animal Story

Kalau benarlah cerita ini...... Seorang wajib dipancung, seorang wajib direjam...

Budak Kampung

1. Seorang sahabat mengadu tentang anaknya. Masih belajar di matrikulasi. Esok hari jadinya.

Toyol

1. Slightly more than a year ago, my youngest daugther lost her 10 days old handphone at school. The phone was her birthday present from me. Despite of my many reminders not to bring the new phone to school, she did and someone stole it.

2. Feeling guilty, she gave me a box where she kept the money she collected during the raya before and those given my her nenek (that she had not spend). The box contained many coins and notes of more than RM400. I kept the box in my wardrobe. Noboby knew where I kept the box. And my daughter has forgotten about it.

3. In less than 4 "emergency" situations, I borrowed some loose RM10 notes (less than RM50). I would replaced the money with a RM50 next day. Nobody knew the transactions.

4. Last Friday night, I had to borrow five RM10 notes to pay her Quran ustaz as I was short of RM50. But it was cancelled and I replaced her notes with a RM50 note so that it will be easier to deposit to her Tabung Haji Account. I have been wanting to do that for quite sometime. On Friday night count, there was 9 RM50 notes and coins.

5. This morning I was not well and decided to take a leave as I have an accumulated 30 days leave that has not been used.

6. I decided to visit Tabung Haji. I asked my daughter to accompany me without telling her that I was going to deposit her money into her account. It was a pleasant surprise for her.

7. At the counter, we gave all the coins in the box to the cashier and counted the RM50 notes. To my surprise, there was only RM300 and not the RM450. Nevertheless we deposited the money and updated all our family accounts.

8. We then went to have a lunch at Kyros Kebab. I was still puzzled about the RM150 shortage. I told my daughter "I counted the notes last Friday night. It was RM450. Arghhh probably I was wrong!"

"You're not wrong. I remember giving you the box a long time ago (out of guilt for losing the phone). It contains almost RM400. I guessed a toyol must have stolen it!"

"Yeah must be a toyol!" She repeated a couple of time. I was suprised and wonder who could have told her about these toyol myths.

9. I told her that her mum saw I took out some cash from the box last Friday night as she was not well and stayed on the bed. She did asked how much were there in the box and that was why I counted it. "Could she had "borrowed" it?"

"Noooooope..... She would have told me/you." Said both of us.

"I told you. It must be a toyol!"

10. While eating my kebab, I was still thinking of the shortage. So I SMSed my wife "What was the balance in Safra's box? I thought there was RM 450 notes. But there was only RM300 now!"

11. Six minutes later, my wife SMSed back "I borrowed 150. Forgot to replace it yesterday."

I showed the message to my daughter with a smile. She giggled and said "O..O... She was the toyol!"
